So..... it has been awhile....again...... I finally got my new laptop 2 weeks ago so hopefully I will be back to posting pictures and blogging. I only have a few minutes before I have to brave the cold and get the kids at the bus stop. This will have to be short, but its better than nothing. Here is our life in pictures recently....
We are all excited for the upcoming Christmas holiday. The kids have been making lists, and talking about Christmas morning and Christmas Eve since November. We have planned out our cookie list for this year and as always we had to decorate a gingerbread house. While Gabby napped... Amanda and Nick... with some help from mom got started......
This year I got SMART. Instead of waiting for the gingerbread house icing to set so the kids could decorate it. I hot glued the house together. INGENIOUS, If I do say so myself! Why did I not think about this years ago. The kids don't eat the house.... they only eat the candy while decorating the house. No one will ingest waxy, hot glue. It worked great. The house was sturdier than ever and even the roof was not sliding off this year.
Here is the final product. How do you like the peppermint candy along the roof line? After they all fell off after using the royal icing.... I wiped them off and hot glued them on the house. They look great and they stuck perfectly!
Nicholas on a sugar high!
Amanda getting in on the sugar action. They wanted to eat the house.... minus the hot glued candy.
The kids were playing Mario Kart on the wii the other day. Gabby picked up a remote and was ready to take everybody on. It was too funny. It looked like she was playing exactly like the kids! She was mimicking all their moves and motions.
Trying to get a picture of Gabby and Nicholas was nearly impossible.

Nick was cooperating and Gabby was being a silly, little girl. This is her goofy face.
This is Nick cooperating and Gabby showing me her tongue.
This was my best shot.

Nick celebrated Thanksgiving at school by putting on a musical production. His class dressed up as pilgrims and the other first grade class dressed as Native Americans.
Here we are at the Thanksgiving feast. Everyone pitched in to make a traditional dinner.
I just found

this picture funny. I usually don't seal the waffles tightly in the freezer. I don't put them in freezer bags. I just keep them in the box in which I bought them. We go through waffles so quickly, they never get freezer burn. So this is what made me laugh. I think Grammy Gerwatowski tied them with curling ribbon. If she didn't do it while babysitting, I don't know who tied our waffles up like a present. I have to think it was my MOM. It was a fun breakfast surprise. Even Amanda is giggling over the nicely, adorned, waffles.
I just like this photo of Amanda. She is definitely growing up!

Nicholas has been very busy everyday after school. He is drawing and coloring dinosaurs. Then he cuts them out and puts them in a pile. He has about 20 dinosaurs. Do you know why he is making all these cut-out?........... For Santa of course! (Don't you know Santa loves dinosaurs even more than he likes COOKIES!)

She has this thing about sticking out her tongue lately...........

I hardly took any pictures on Thanksgiving. Here is one I shot at the end of the day. What a cute group!

I'm off to the bus. Hope to post soon.....
