Why is it that you can't wait until the weekend.... and then when the weekend arrives it passes in the blink of an eye.... always too quickly. Well another weekend has come and gone at the Herdoiza's and tomorrow marks Monday... and I'll be looking forward to the weekend again. Do you see the cycle??
Steve and I had a great weekend. We were able to go to dinner and catch a movie. That makes 2 dates this month. AWESOME! Steve golfed this morning and I hung out with the kids and spent most of the day doing laundry. This evening I finally got some pictures and mirrors hung and it is now 10:46. I will have to share some pictures of my ever-evolving living room and dining room. Slowly...slowly... it is coming along and I'm really liking all the changes. Did all of you have a busy and fun-filled weekend? I hope you got everything crossed off of your to-do list! Now without further ado...here are some of those old photos I thought I would share.... 2 cute kids hanging out on the stairs...
Nicholas made these glasses at school... this was one of the many projects that were being sent home at the end of the year... the glasses were very colorful and very funny.... I had to share them with you... Really.... and they say the frames are the most expensive part of buying new glasses.... Nicholas might be on to something here.... except you might have a slight problem if it starts to rain... wilting frames!
So the same day I saw how cute the kids were on the stairs..... I had to get into the picture too... You know how much I like the self-timer...
I just love this picture of Steve and Amanda. Steve was going to the Andover girl's tennis banquet and Amanda had decided to join him. I caught them just before they went flying out the door. Thank goodness my camera is always close by.

Do you remember that last post about Nicholas and his crazy sleeping position? Well most nights he is scared of something and he makes his way into our bedroom, or Amanda's room, or sleeps with his covers over his head... he likes to be hidden.... I think it keeps away the "wild things" he continually dreams about... or the asteroids or volcanoes that are trying to get him as he runs to Franklin Tennis club????? Anyway.... one night Steve came into our room after checking on the kids and told me I had to see this.... look carefully.... this is Nick's bedroom... it is a little like "Where's Waldo?"
Here is the aeriel view.... Nicholas had barricaded himself in a fort like enclosure surrounded by his protective pillows and stuffed animals. I wish the picture did justice for the small amount of space Nick had crammed himself into. We eventually made him get into bed where we pulled the covers over his head so he could get a good nights sleep. What a funny guy!Hope everyone has a great week. Monday brings us 4 days closer to another weekend. Until later......
